Do I have a lesbian crush on Hayley? It's possible. Or I'm just a creeper. Anyway, here's a PHOTO recap of things Hayley has missed since she cut out Facebook for Lent.

For Hayley and I.
A while ago Hayley and I were wondering about the lyrics to that oh so wonderful song by Toto, "Africa."
Well here they are! Make sure to play the song while you read the lyrics, it's better that way. Then make sure to watch the video!
Toto
"Africa"
I hear the drums echoing tonight
But she hears only whispers of some quiet conversation
Shes coming in 12:30 flight
The moonlit wings reflect the stars that guide me towards salvation
I stopped an old man along the way
Hoping to find some long forgotten words or ancient melodies
He turned to me as if to say, hurry boy, its waiting there for you
Chorus:
Its gonna take a lot to drag me away from you
Theres nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do
I bless the rains down in africa
Gonna take some time to do the things we never had
The wild dogs cry out in the night
As they grow restless longing for some solitary company
I know that I must do whats right
Sure as kilimanjaro rises like olympus above the serengeti
I seek to cure whats deep inside, frightened of this thing that Ive become
Chorus
(instrumental break)
Hurry boy, shes waiting there for you
Its gonna take a lot to drag me away from you
Theres nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do
I bless the rains down in africa, I bless the rains down in africa
I bless the rains down in africa, I bless the rains down in africa
I bless the rains down in africa
Gonna take some time to do the things we never had
And for fun, here are some other wonderful videos!
This last one wouldn't let me embed it, so just go to the link!

Blonde viewing pleasures.

I've loved this song for years!

I love Dolly!
Blonde Bombshell.
I used to be naturally blonde as a child.
My hair has undergone two big natural changes throughout my life:
Platinum blonde to brunette, and in the 6th grade I permed my hair-after that it just stayed curly. I never permed it again, because I never had to. It is weird and wonderful.
Though I was once blonde, I am a brunette in my heart. I have always loved being brunette and other than my stint as a red-head (which I loved!), and a few chunks of blonde here and there, I will always be a brunette.
So why am I now blonde? Yes, I am now blonde.
I suppose it all started 2 years ago in Virginia. My roommates bought several blonde barbie wigs and I tried one on. I liked it.
More recently I've decided to grow my hair out, the only problem is that I've dyed my hair so much that it's completely uneven and patchy- err, well, it was. So i decided that I had to cut it all off eventually and start from scratch.
(Wahh, I guess I'm not in a flowery writing mood, because I just want to get to the point! I'm blonde, my hair is blonde. Haha, sorry about that. Talk about anticlimactic.)
Here is how I became a blonde:
1. "Before" picture. I wasn't really grumpy, you're just supposed to look ugo in "before" pictures.
2. Bleach! Round one.
It Burns!!!!Wah!
3. Dry and fluff!
4. Accidentally smack lip on the sink and watch it swell.
5. Bleach! Round two.6. Fluff!
7. Separate
8. Color
9.It's done! Here it is wet!
10. Dry!
Later on I curled it and I must say, it was uber cute! I was in total shock about the whole thing all day! It was a bit tough to adjust, I just didn't look like myself, but now I'm feeling better about it and even liking it! Secretly (though now publicly) I have some sort of Helen of Troy complex in my mind with this new hair. I feel as if men will die for me and fawn after me! Hopefully. Because let's face it, I could use a date.

The good, the bad and the Ed Hardy crap.
Stupid Things: 1. People who drive bright yellow convertibles (My car doesn't count. It's light yellow and a tracker.)
3. Daring, or otherwise egging on, your friends to share their "testimony" in testimony meeting
4. TMIing on the internet. I don't want to know about your near and dear's prostate cancer, your failed relationship or your ultra detailed and personal spiritual experience
5. People who don't wear deodorant
6. College debt
7. Rushing into marriage 9. Drinking and drugs
11. Terrorism
12. The new Dixie mascot
13. Threatening chain letters
14. House fires
15. Sloth
16. Chupacabras
17. Ed Hardy paraphernalia
18. Genetics
19. Stagnant life
20. Zits
Things that are not stupid:
1. Cupcakes
1. Cupcakes
2. Sabrina the Teenage Witch 3. Pre-mortal BFs
4. Kelsie and Paul's doggie, Regina
5. Fake tattoos
6. Hammocks
7. Hot baths
8. Narnia
9. Things that glow in the dark
10. Astronomy11. Bollywood
11. Clean houses
12. Fresh daffodils

13. Cheese filled hot dogs
14. Summer
15. Bubble gum
16. Peter Pan
17. Marriage and it's "benefits"
18. The Jonas Bros
19. John Denver
20. SVU
There you go, the bad and the good.

Valentine Dysphoria.
Okay, I'm not really depressed or anything but Valentines can really wear on a girl! Every year that heart-winged steed pulling the chariot of love ushers in a day so dismal you can hear asexual microorganisms in the Southern Ocean keening. YouTube's wires buzz with the overloading demands for Morrissey music videos!
"Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God." -John 4:7

ADOPT ME BRANGELINA! Love, Laura
I will be at home, gaining 17 pounds in chocolate and preservative wax on my thighs. A box of kittens poured over my head couldn't distract my mind from the ever present reality of my singleness on this day. Wal-Mart, the devil and Ann Coulter only teamed up to create a few things on this earth and here they are:
1. Wurthering Heights (The devil entered Emily Bronte's body at the age of 13, a few years later she wrote this book.)
4. Rye bread
5. Bono
Okay then, the truth of the matter is I was just saying that all for funsies...mostly...
I actually like to use Valentines Day as a celebration of friendship.

A little update on my life-a.
So life is good, nothing too extraordinary right now, here are a few updates:
I got a car, which is awesome! The only problem so far is that I don't quite know how to drive stick.. Oh well, it's a new adventure! My car is a 1991 Geo tracker! It's 4WD and it's cute and very me! I'm thinking of naming it Shia LeBeouf.
My sister recently came home from Au pairing in Holland for a year! I'm so happy to have her home, she's one of my best friends in the whole world! When she came home she wanted her big bed back (I've been sleeping on it), so I opted for a new twin in my room! The reason I'm so happy about having a twin bed is because now I can fit a huge bookshelf and a drafting desk in my room! I'm so excited to get the desk in there, but I can't get it until I get some help moving it (it weighs a million billion pounds!)
Lately I've been pretty happy to live in Saint George. I still miss Virginia terribly, and it will always be my home in one way or another...but it's nice to not hate Saint George anymore. Saint George is beautiful to behold, and perfect if you like the outdoors. I have friends and things to do, and the dramas of life are calming down a bit... Here are some pictures I took from the top of Dixie rock:
Other than that I'm applying to the masters in education program at Weber State, in Ogden, Utah, for the fall! I'm so excited to have found a program, and school, that seems to be just what I'm looking for! My only real concern about it so far is the weather up there, I don't know if I can handle that much cold and snow! At least now I have 4WD car to attack northern Utah with!
And for your viewing pleasure, an amazing music video from the one and only Queen! Warning: this video includes scantily clad cross dressing men and spandex interpretive dance, it could offend you.
